The Jamaica North South Highway Company Limited is a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) located in China, our parent company.

The construction of the JNSH was as a result of a collaborative project between the China Communication Construction Company (CCCC) – our parent company - and the Jamaican Government. The initiative was and is geared towards upgrading the country’s infrastructure and assisting in the provision of economic opportunities for growth and the creation of jobs.  The construction period started on January 28, 2013 and was completed on March 23, 2016.

The JNSH is the first of its kind in Jamaica – not only due to the fact that it connects the capital of the country (Kingston) with one of the country’s most popular bustling tourist area (Ocho Rios) – but also because it is a closed tolling system.

Founded in 2011, The Jamaica North South Highway Company Limited (JNSHCL) is the Developer and Operator of The Jamaica North South Highway (JNSH) - a 66.13 kilometer-road located in Jamaica which connects the south coast (Caymanas, St. Catherine) to the north coast (Mammee Bay, St. Ann) for a concessionary period of fifty (50) years. It is our aim to ensure that our core processes - the toll operation and infrastructure maintenance of the North South Highway - are performed in accordance with the Concession Agreement.

JNSHCL has seven locations – six Toll Plazas and one local Head Office – which operate on a 24/7 basis.
The six (6) Toll Plaza locations are as follows:

  1. Caymanas, located in St. Catherine
  2. Angels, located in St. Catherine
