JNSHC’s POLICY FOR EPASS LANE USAGE (‘EPASS RULES’)
Please pay keen attention to the rules below for the best usage results:
- After activation, the OBU Device should not be removed. If removed, the device would no longer be functional; it would need to be reactivated by a Sales Agent.
- Upon arrival at the EPASS Lane (entrance/exit), reduce speed to 20 km/hr. The OBU Device will beep, and the barrier should lift.
- If the EPASS Lane is not in operation (whether at the entrance or at the exit), please use the regular lane. Remove the EPASS Card from the Device and hand it to the Toll Collector. If there is no Toll Collector at the entrance, place the EPASS Card on the grey glass section at the front of the Automatic Card Dispenser
(ACD) Machine for the entrance information to be written to the EPASS Card1.
PLEASE DO NOT COLLECT A REGULAR TOLL CARD. - If there is another vehicle approaching the EPASS Entrance and Exit Lane, leave at least 2 car lengths in between the vehicle before you.
- This is done to avoid the system from detecting the OBU Device installed in your vehicle for that of the vehicle in front.
1 - If the EPASS Card was not swiped on the ACD Machine at the entrance, the toll fare must be paid in cash at the Exit because the information would not have been written on the card.
